I was born in Iran, Tehran. I have received my undergraduate study in Graphic Design at Tehran University of Art. I moved to Canada in 2012. Currently, I am MFA candidate in Inter-Media program at Concordia University.
My practice is interdisciplinary where I apply drawing, performance for camera, video, photography and collage. My body of work revolves around the spatio-temporal experience of in-between-ness. This in-between experience comprises a vast scope, to name, either virtual or actual moving from one place to the other, or speaking two different languages; which also results in its own contextual shift. Within this locus, one's social interaction has emerged from literal as well as implicit mobility wherein one passes through instead of residing. As a result, within such in-between-ness, corporeal presence is fragmented between here and there, between virtual and actual and between now and else-when. In this sense, my practice is fragmentary and poetic which aims to represent the aesthetic of mobility.
